About the Club

 

Bali Golf and Country Club, voted "One of Asia's 5 Best Golf Courses" from Fortune Magazine - USA, was designed by Rodney Wright and Robin Nelson - two world reputed golf course "artist" of Nelson & Wright, Hawaii.
Bali Golf and Country Club was inaugurated on March 4, 1991 by three of Asia's top heads of state - President Soeharto of Indonesia, Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong of Singapore and Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei.

 

Location
Bali Golf and Country Club is situated amidst acres of lush and landscaped grounds on the southern tip of the deluxe resort area of Nusa Dua with a spectacular vista of the Indian Ocean in the distance. Conveniently located near several five star international hotels, the property is only a 20-minute drive from Bali's International Airport.

 

Climate :
April to October is comfortably warm with relatively low humidity. The average daily temperature hovers around 84º Fahrenheit or 27º Celcius. November to March is slightly warmer and a bit more humid. Tropical rain falls in short bursts, interspersed with periods of bright sunshine. The average daily temperature is a constant 92º Fahrenheit or 32º Celcius.

About the Course

 

Bali Golf and Country Club will offer visitors to Bali a truly unique golfing experience because of the fantastic setting of the course. Golfers in effect will experience three distinct playing environments as a result of the variety of environmental settings throughout the 18-hole course.

 

Holes one through nine play inland and uphill through dense tropical vegetation and provide the player with magnificent views of Nusa Dua below, the Indian Ocean, and on a clear day a view of distant mountains. The setting of holes one through nine feature creeks, canyons, and native vegetation filled with tropical birds. The golf course architect team of Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright incorporated small hand-built stonewalls to terrace the sides of fairways and tees in order to emulate the rice field terraces of the Bali countryside.

 

The setting for holes 10 through 16 present the golfer with lush gently sculptured fairways through a mature coconut grove. The coconut palms, some as tall as 100 feet, provide vertical definition to the golf course.

 

The third distinct setting of holes 17 and 18 present to the golfer a seaside beach experience. The 17th plays out to the beach of the beautiful blue Indian Ocean and usually into the wind. The 18th plays from the beach back to the clubhouse along side a 16-acre lake.

 

The golfer at Bali Golf and Country Club will experience golf holes through gradual hills with lush tropical vegetation and magnificent ocean views, golf holes through a 100 feet tall mature coconut grove, and golf holes out and back to the beach of the Indian Ocean. In all, the varied natural setting of Bali Golf and Country Club provides Bali guests with a truly unique golfing experience.

• Tee-times are available from 06:00 to 16:00 hours. Latest tee-off available for 18-hole play is 13:50 hours while 9-hole plays are only available after 14:00 hours.
• Each flight accommodates up to four players and we reserve the right to pair-up players into foursomes or threesomes (occasionally).
• All major credit cards are accepted. Cash payments are arranged in Indonesian Rupiah or other major foreign currencies (US Dollars, Australian Dollars and Japanese Yen). Foreign currency will be converted to Indonesian Rupiah by using the prevailing market rate on date of payment and personal checks are not accepted.
• Information for special arrangements on group and tournament play is available and determined on a case to case basis.
