About the Course

 

The Greg Norman-designed 18-hole Laguna Bintan Golf Course is pure inspiration for aspiring and seasoned golfers alike. Set in 60 hectares of a tropical Eden, it lets nature define the course winding through the diverse terrains of forestlands, natural wetlands, beachfront coconut groves and an abandoned quarry. The greens can be treacherous at times - practise your putting skills beforehand if you want to score on par.

 

The memorable signature holes come towards the end. Holes 7 and 8 are framed by the South China Sea welcoming you with a refreshing sea breeze. Freedom at last and not a care in the world. Relish the view while deciding on which club to use to drive successfully across the sea past the daunting rocks towards the 8th green. It's a golfing experience unmatched in this part of the region.

 

After a satisfyingly exhausting game of golf, retire to your private pool or jet pool villa. Or visit the excellent Banyan Tree Spa, which features sauna, steam, loofah and massage rooms to relax both body and mind. If you cannot stay overnight, we can arrange special transport for you from the club to the ferry terminal.

Laguna Bintan Golf Club offers a good golfing challenge and beautiful scenery to match. Pit your skills against the elements - from primary forest, natural wetlands and a beachfront to an abandoned quarry. If you wish to perfect your swing, try the driving range, putting green and chipping area. Only 55 minutes from Singapore by high-speed catamaran followed by a 10-minute drive, the 'Golf Escape' day package takes your mind off everything else.
