Once again the SMoG group, (Saturday Morning Golfers) held their annual charity golf day, the 4th to date, at the wonderful Matoa Nasional Golf Course, on 13th September, this year.
'SMoG' helps raise money for charities covered by the BWA and ANZA Associations, and in the past
has helped charities such as Mama Sayang, Wisma Cheshire, Ciptra Baru, Youth of the Future Foundation and P3C Aceh, all very worthwhile causes.
The 24 teams taking part on the day, ranged from serious golfers to complete hackers, all playing in anticipation of winning something for their efforts, and many of the holes had received generous sponsorship for the charities covered by this group of golfers, along with other donations for novelty holes. There were cars on offer for hole in one's on all the par three's. Refreshments were again generously provided at the club house by Satu Lagi and along the course from Chieftains Table and Eastern Promise, and a very welcome sight they were on the day for the participants!

 All in all another highly successful charity day organized by the SMoG group, with many thanks to Patrick Kearins, Kevin Millward and Malcolm llewellyn, Des Sterling, Rod hay and Vince Ashcroft. Also a huge thank you to all sponsors involved, names below, your help is invaluable to improving the many lives touched by the monies raised in these events, and SMoG looks forward to seeing you again next year!
