The R9 features a dual head design made for both performance and control. the 3-5 irons feature a high repulsion face with hollow cavity structure for increased distance. The 6-Wedge feature a more compact undercut pocket cavity with a focus on feel, control and accuracy. The R9 features variable face thickness. Starting with 2.0mm thick face in the long irons to 2.3mm in the mid irons and 2.5mm in the short irons for enhanced feel.
Taylormade utilizes its inverted cone technology to expand the sweet area reducing overall loss on off center hits. The multifunctional sole is versatile and made to excel in any lie. The new R9 has traditional lofts with a 27.5* 5 iron and is considered between mid and compact size with less offset. The new grooves are USGA/R&A Conforming.
The R9 is available with either Nippon NS Pro 950GH or Dynamic Gold as standard shaft. Japanese spec lightweight Motore 60 graphite is also available as an upcharge.
The new R9 Iron begins shipping mid September 2009 so any orders before that will be considered pre orders.

The price of the R9 is just discount to $499.99, and there are some preferential terms , such as if you buy a club , send you another golf club(fairwaywood, wedges) as gift .is that price acceptable ?

At Golfsmith, Dicks sporting goods, austrad, edwin watts these irons are $999 w/ graphite and $899 steel. These are authorized dealers. According to TM they have not discounted these irons.
At madeinchina.com. easybuygolf.com, golfwarehouse18.com, these clubs are priced from $339 to $460. All ship from china so I would expect them to be made in china, and counterfit. You pay for what you get, and if it sounds to good to be true it probably is not the real thing.
