In "A Good Swing is Hard to Find" by Helen Alfredsson, she says,
The only thing you should be thinking of is making a good 'next' shot. By thinking about all the other shots you want to make, you only end up exhausting yourself--playing a mental thirty-six holes instead of an actual eighteen. That's why professional golfers always talk about being in the present. You have no control over what you just did. And you have no control over what lies in front of you, either.
