A Winning Mental Golf Tip |

Here is a quote from the US Open last month.
"LA JOLLA, CALIF. -- 'That's a U.S. Open par there," Mike Weir told fellow Canadian David Hearn on
the seventh green of Torrey Pines'South Course yesterday morning.
"I love those." Hearn had holed a 30-foot putt after driving into the rough on the 461-yard par-4 hole. His second shot, from the thick primary rough, stayed in the cabbage up the left side, about 50 yards from the hole. His pitch shot left him the long par putt up a slope on the moist but increasingly firm and fast green."
Now let's look and you and I on the course. We drive our tee shot into the rough.
How are you feeling? Down a little bit? Maybe using a few choice words to display your emotion.
Then, your second shot is 50 yards short - STILL IN THE ROUGH.
Now how do you feel?
Your next shot is on the green - BUT A MILE FROM THE HOLE.
Then you make a miracle putt for par.
How do you keep your cool so you can enjoy this game? You need to keep your mind in the game - ONE SHOT AT A TIME.
And that's my tip. Play each shot one at a time. Don't worry about what happened last shot and don't think about what's going to happen next shot.
One shot at a time. Enjoy your round. It's why you play.
